Tourism management master's student trip
On April 29, 2024, students of the Master of Tourism Management in English participated in a field trip within the framework of the Tourism Destination Management and Marketing course.
The students, led by Dr. Éva Happ, got acquainted with the tourism offer of the Lake Balaton region and took an e-bike tour on the Balatonfüred – Tihany - Balatonfüred route as part of the active tourism programme. Gao Fan (China) and Israiilova Gulzar (Kyrgyzstan) wrote about the trip.

Today, I participated in an unforgettable cycling trip around the famous Lake Balaton in Hungary. As a tourism management student, I know the importance of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. This cycling trip not only helped me discover the magnificent beauty of nature and the smoothness of the wind blowing, but also let me deeply realise the importance of tourism to the development of a region. Tourism is not only a commercial activity, but it can also bring comfort and healing to people's soul.

It was truly an unforgettable experience. The staff at the e-bike rent shop was extremely attentive about our safety, ensuring that we were provided with the right e-bikes and they were willing to make changes if necessary to make sure of a perfect fit. We were very fortunate as the weather was pleasant during our trip, with the temperature around +25°C~+26°C, sunny and mild - the perfect conditions for an e-bike tour around Lake Balaton.
One of the highlights of the tour was when we were trying the famous lavender ice cream, which in my opinion is one of a kind and a must try in Hungary. This trip provided us with a refreshingly different perspective on the tourism opportunities that Hungary has to offer. It was truly insightful and enriching.
The e-bike tour around Lake Balaton let us get to know the natural beauty of the region, gave us a unique point and way to appreciate the beautiful landscapes. In my opinion, this mode of transportation is the perfect way to explore the local environment. Our group left inspired to explore Hungary further - and of course with the desire to come back here and recommend it to the others.
I enjoyed it so much that I wish it could have lasted longer…
Köszönöm szépen! Чоң рахмат! (çoŋ rahmat)
